The Saskatchewan Cricket Association facilitated a cricket clinic at Sacred Heart High School. Faisal Anwar from Yorkton and Dan Davies of the Lions Cricket Club in Regina helped put it on for a small group of SHHS students. The Royal Bank of Canada generously donated some starter kits for the school. The RBC has been involved in supporting cricket initiatives to more than 1,100 schools across the country since 2008, says the RBC. They have also contributed towards helping communities improve their facilities. Brett Franklin, bank manager RBC, says the key to getting the game going in Yorkton is sustainability. Sacred Heart students Jenna Sahulka and Colin Shewchuk examine their positioning during the session at SHHS.
