BIKES AND BURGERS

Motorcycle enthusiasts from around Saskatchewan were at the David Laird Campground Sunday afternoon for the Canadian Legion of Riders’ Beef and Burgers fundraising event. It was a chance for local riders to enjoy burgers and home fries and to show off their enthusiasm for motorcycles and motorcycling, and to help raise money for the CLR’s Veterans Unmarked Grave Project. The Canadian Legion of Riders has some other events in store July 14. They include the Rockin’ the Rink dance in Meota as well as the Ride for a Vet annual charity poker run, which this year is being run in memory of Rick Wyatt and former Battlefords Publishing employee Kim Meisel.
