It's doctor to you

The Editor,

I would like to quickly reply to Edward Mantler's, CEO of the Physician Recruitment Agency of Saskatchewan, letter with one quick clarification.

He addresses me as "Mr. Peti", while in fact, as a resident physician, and MD, the proper prefix would be Dr. Peti.

I would hope that the agency tasked with recruiting our local graduates, would realize that as graduates of medical school, we should be addressed as doctor, or perhaps Nick in my case. But Mr. is actually incorrect.

I appreciate that the Physician Recruitment Agency of Saskatchewan has many goals, but perhaps they should at first learn the definition of a resident. I would suggest even one episode of Grey's Anatomy would be enough for the PRAS to realize that residents are in fact doctors.
