Simmentals on sale

Pheasantdale Cattle Co. & Highway 5 Simmentals held their eighth Annual Bull & Female Sale on Friday March 16 at the Yorkton Heartland Sale facilities with an estimated 250-plus people attending the sale. Eight long yearling bulls grossed $ 20,200 for a $6,275 average, 66 yearling bulls grossed $271,050 for a $4,109 average, five purebred open heifers grossed $14,100 for an average of $2,820, while 12 open commercial heifers grossed $17,535 for a $1,461 average. The two top selling bulls were HWY 5 KINGPIN 23Y, and HWY 5 NIGHT MOVES 94Y, both brining $7,500 from Dugdale Agco, of Melville. The high selling female was HWY 5 MISS TARGET 161Y, which sold to Colton and Tim Lazurko, Melville for $3400.00.
