CALDER - Raffle planned

The Calder Yalenka Dance Club went to Kamsack to dance at the Eaglestone Lodge and the Kamsack District Nursing Home. The Calder Yalenka Dance Club enjoyed dancing for the seniors.

The Calder Yalenka Dance Club will also be dancing in Roblin at the Roblin Nursing Home.

The Calder Yalenka Dance Club is having a spring raffle; tickets are available through the club members. The Club will also be sitting at Wal-Mart and Zellers Mall. The raffle will be made at the Spring Concert on April 29, 2012 at the Calder Community Hall.

The Calder Yalenka Dance Club will be going to competition this year in Brandon, Manitoba in April and Russell in May. The students have been practicing on Tuesday nights to get ready for these competitions.

The Calder Karate Club is always looking for new members. The Karate Club is opened to all ages, so come out on Monday nights at 6:00 at the Calder Community Hall, or phone Ron at 742-2050 for more information.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on March 4, 2012. The winners of the raffles are as follows: 1st Elmer Eftoda - glasses, 2nd Katrina Raml - Glow Station, 3rd Lauren Walker - tool set, 4th Nicole Rapchalk - beauty set, 5th Katrina Raml - 3 in one activity set, 6th Lauren Walker - candle holder and candle, 7th Gwen Laidlaw - solar butterfly, 8th Bill Sobkow - bird house, 9th Alexandra Raml - turtles, 10th Doug Mckenzie - pancake mix, 11th Elaine Baumung - solar fairy, 12th Norman Rapchalk - magnet, 13th Derwood Andrews - knife & screwdriver set, 14th Glen Yaroski - saw blades and hearing protectors and Gene and Sharon Wonchulanko - wire strippers and hand saw.

The Calder School had some of their student’s enter some writing contests.
