Saltcoats hosts a weekend archery shoot


Participants line up and get ready to fire during elementary school archery action at Saltcoats’ curling rink Saturday afternoon. The meet included MC Knoll, Columbia School and Saltcoats School.

Saltcoats held an archery shoot Saturday, attended by students of MC Knoll and Columbia School.

Shooters were placed into age/sex categories and awarded gold, silver and bronze medals for the top finishers.

In Gr. 4 boys: Isaiah Burgen, bronze; Jackson Berezowski, silver, MC Knoll; Brad Heskin, MC Knoll, gold.

In Gr. 4 girls: Karleigh Scar, bronze, Saltcoats School; Jessica Farquharson, silver, Saltcoats; Halle Parsons, gold, Saltcoats.

Gr. 5 boys: Riley Lazecki, bronze, Saltcoats; Garion Miller, silver, Columbia; Kelsey Banga, gold, MC Knoll.

Gr. 5 girls: Chelte Young, bronze, Saltcoats; Kelly Kroll, silver, Saltcoats School; Kaylyn Jarvis, gold, MC Knoll.

Gr. 6 boys: Keaton Clay, bronze, Saltcoats School; Matthew Breitkreuz, silver, Columbia School; Joel Thompson, gold, Columbia School.

Gr. 6 girls: Kathleen Magel, bronze, Saltcoats School; Kristen Maddaford, silver, Saltcoats School; Sarah Edel, gold, Columbia School. Gr. 7 boys: Logan Kakakaway, bronze, Columbia School; Brett Heskin, silver, MC Knoll; Brayden Jarvis, gold, MC Knoll.
Gr. 7 girls: Sidney Mercer, bronze; Cassidy Banga, gold, MC Knoll.

Gr. 8 boys: Andrew Labossierre, bronze, Saltcoats School; Liam Gulak, silver, Saltcoats School; Zack Fry, gold, Columbia School.

Gr. 8 girls: Calista Young, bronze, Saltcoats School; Linda Toth, silver, Saltcoats School; Hunter Frankfurt, gold, MC Knoll.
