LESLIE LIEBRECHT

Leslie Liebrecht was born February 8, 1952 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, the son of Herb and Mary (nee Zrudlo) Liebrecht. He passed away at the South Unit of the Yorkton and District Nursing Home on February 26, 2012. He was 60 years of age. Leslie went to school at the Winnifred Stewart School in Edmonton, AB where he learned to sound, read, and tell time. His favourite pastime was singing and enjoyed lots of it. Leslie loved music and being in the company of people. He attended the Saskatchewan Abilities work shop in Yorkton for 30 years, where he made many good friends. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by parents, Herb and Mary; his sister, Debbie (Ron) and their children, Sarah, Jennifer (Mike) and Michael; brother, Rick (Doris) and their children, Nathan and Thomas; his Aunt Erma’s family in Australia; his Aunt Gladys and her family and his Aunt Vera and her family as well as many, many friends. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, May 4, 2012 from the Chapel of Christie’s Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK. with Pastor Fred Schneider officiating. Leslie was remembered in tribute and eulogy by his brother, Rick Liebrecht. The organist, Judy Berg, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, “Tell Me The Stories of Jesus”, “Jesus Loves Me”, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again”. The Cremation Committal followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Michael Falk, Nathan Liebrecht and Thomas Liebrecht serving as the urn bearers.
