Students at national competition

Two teams of Yorkton students are in Edmonton this week for the Skills Canada National Competition.

The Sacred Heart High School 3D Computer Animation team of Anthony Fetsch and Brandon Parfitt and the Yorkton Regional High School Robotics team of Taylor Pachal, Bo Chiasson, Rachel Machnee, and Jayden Leister both qualified for the national event by winning gold medals at the Skills Canada Provincial Competition in Regina this March.

Winners at the national competition will advance to the 42nd WorldSkills Competition in Leipzig, Germany in July of 2013.

The Edmonton competition began on Sunday and ends today, May 16.
