1. 1985 – Bruno Gerussi was the star of Canada’s longest running weekly dramatic series, The Beachcombers. The program ran from 1972 – 1990.
2. 1982 – Sandie Rinaldo is a journalist and anchor for CTV television news.
3. 1977 – Gordon Pinsent won the best actor award at the Yorkton International Film Festival for his role in Horse Latitudes. He returned in 2007 to attend the screening of Away from Her, a film in which he starred opposite Julie Christie..
4. 1990 – Ann Medina worked as a foreign correspondent for the CBC. Her work often took her to the Middle East. She became a free lance journalist in 1988 and a resident at the Canadian Film Centre. In 2008, she was named as one of the “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” in Canada.
5. 2002 – Jeff Hutchinson is the “weather man” on CTV’s Canada AM. He is shown here with Cindy Witten of the National Film Board.
