June 14 North Battleford Comprehensive High School will have Rueben Mayes speaking at the school. The school is honouring him by naming the practice field at the high school after him at 2 p.m. June 14 North Saskatchewan River Baseball League has four games on the schedule. Locally, North Battleford hosts the Border City Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. Mervin hosts Wilkie. June 14 Battlefords Senior Men’s Soccer League has the Spurs playing MNG at the Flats and Poundmaker playing ACS at Centennial Track at 5:45 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. Deuces play Sweetgrass at the Flats and GBH plays Thunderchild at Centennial Track. June 14 North Saskatchewan River Baseball League has two games on the schedule including a makeup game in Unity between the Cardinals and Meadow Lake. June 16-17 North Battleford Golf and Country Club will host the annual Ladies’ Northwest Open. Golfing starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. June 23 Battlefords North Stars will be holding their annual Golf Classic at North Battleford Golf and Country Club.
