ALVIN THOMPSON

Alvin Preston Thompson passed away July 24, 2012 at his residence, he was 33 years of age. Alvin was born at Wolseley, SK, January 1, 1979 to Alvin Saulteaux and Gail Thompson. Alvin was predeceased by his father Alvin and niece Ashley Kuffner. He leaves to cherish his memory, mother Gail, wife Amber, children Serena, Kainen, Alijah, Alvin, Aiden, Shyrah Thompson Elijah & Rayanna Breast. Siblings, Woodrow, Barney, Raylene, Nellie, Agnes, William, Nathan, Donelda, Dallon, Eldean, Ronette & Richelle, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Wakes were held Thursday, July 26, 4:00p.m., with a Prayer Service to commencing at 7:30p.m. at the Yorkton Friendship Centre and July 27, 4:00p.m. with an Evening Service at 7:30p.m. at the home of Alvin’s mother Gail, #245, Carry the Kettle Band. Funeral Service was held Saturday, July 28 at 2:00p.m. at Carry The Kettle First Nations Band Hall. Raymond Jordon Sr.,Edmund Jordon, Lester Adams, Errol Hotomanie, Jason Adams, Tyler Ashdohonk, Kevin Gambler were honorary pallbearers.  Bronson Gordon, Sam Buffalo, Farron Ashdohonk, Jessie Ashdohonk, Mitchell Keshane, Sinclair Dubois were active pallbearers. Interment took place. Interment took place at the Carry The Kettle Band Cemetery. Alvin will always be remembered for his fun loving nature and his comical smiles.  He was always a good listener and comforter for others. A real gentle giant and a big “teddybear” for all those who loved him. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father son and brother.
