Good attendance at Visitor Centre

Tourism Yorkton has announced that its Visitor Information Centre received 843 visitors in the month of July.

Visitors to the centre came from 10 different countries, 12 provinces/territories, and 11 US states.

"What is especially pleasing is some of the new countries that we've seen," said Randy Goulden, Tourism Yorkton's executive director. "I don't remember having visitors from Slovakia or Slovenia before, so that is a very positive indicator."

The centre is also happy to see continued visitors from eastern Canada, said Goulden.

Eight to nine hundred visitors is typical for a summer month at the Visitor Centre.
