4-H Achievement Day
Our 10th year has come to an end with our annual Achievement Day. It was held on a sunny day at the Zrudlo farm near Stornoway on July 14. The members arrived at noon to set-up; the judges came at 12:30.
We had 8 members in our club for the 2011-12 year. Each member is to complete a project book and project to be displayed and judged at Achievement Day. Our Cloverbud members came from Buchanan. They covered the material in Unit 1 which was; outdoor adventure, beef, sheep, safety at home and gardening. Intermediate and senior members did mechanics/small engine, woodworking and welding. The motto for 4-H is "Learn to Do by Doing" this shows in each of the projects and activities our members took on this year.
