Yanushs celebrate 40th

Shirley and Morris Yanush celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sat., July 7, 2012, at the Goodeve Community Centre. There were 100 to 125 people that attended, most which were from Saskatchewan, and two from the United States. Shirley’s sister Martha Reith attended from Chehalis, Washington, which is 70 miles from Seattle. Also Shirley’s sister Jean Sanger was here from Stafford, Connecticut. Morris and Shirley received a lot of nice gifts, they will be busy for the next little while sending out Thank You cards to all who attended.

Congratulations to Christynn Adams and Gerald Smith on the birth of their son Holden Richard William Smith. Holden was born on May 29 at the Yorkton Regional Hospital weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. He’s a little brother for Kayden Smith. Proud grandparents are Jeannette Smith of Melville, Gerald Smith Senior of Calgary, and Richard Adams of Prince Albert and Wendy May of Yorkton.

Congratulations to Amanda Krochak and Aron Niesen on the birth of their daughter, Payton Rose Joy Krochak. Payton was born on June 17, 2012, and weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces. Proud grandparents Brent and Shannon Krochak and Darrell Nielson. Proud Great grandparents are Gladys Krochak of Goodeve, and Elaine Nielson.

John and Helen Hnatiuk celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a Come and Go Tea at St. Paul’s Lutheran Home on June 27, 2012. At the head table was Mary Konechny and Eleonor Dorish and John and Helen.

Their three sons Garfield, Kenny and Ron and their wives were there, and some grandchildren. As well as brothers Eugene Hnatiuk and Violet, Jerry and Donna. About forty people were in attendance. Some were former school teachers. Cake and refreshments were served.
