Darlene Melrose was the first to get her mail at the new Maymont post office location.
The Village of Maymont opened the new location Tuesday. It is located behind the library, with access from the south side.
The patience of Nancy and Carli of Radmont Insurance throughout the renovation process is acknowledged. They are welcomed to their new location, with access from the north side. The village extends thanks to all volunteers that helped to make this transition possible.
The village congratulates Darlene on her retirement from Canada Post in March. She served community and area for 35 dedicated years.
Get Well wishes to Bernice Ducharme, who broke her hip last week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Randy Weekes, what about Highway 376? What a shame this highway, that is used so often by so many, has to be such a mess? Anyone wanting to complain about this highway can contact Mr. Weekes, MLA at Box 1413, or 106 - 3rd Ave. W., Biggar, Sask. SGI lists the number of moose-related collisions under the wildlife category. With 11,015 of these being collisions with deer, there were slightly less than 16,000 wildlife-related claims. People should be aware that moose, as well as elk, are much larger than deer and a collision with them will have more tragic results.
There were seven pigs dumped in the ditch just off Highway 16, two miles east of Maymont. Why would anyone do such a thing?
