BENNETT: Adele Elaine (nee Cridland)July 30, 1956 - July 28, 2012It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Adele Elaine Bennett on July 28, 2012 in the Palliative Care Ward of Battlefords Union Hospital, North Battleford, SK. Adele will be forever missed by her husband, Clifford, of 35 years, her daughter, Alyssa & precious grandson, Cameron. Adele is survived by her parents, Bill & Ruth Cridland; her sisters Jan(Gary) Westbury, Cheryl(John) Elniski, Kim (Reuben) Bahnman, her brother Bill (Shelley) Cridland; her in-laws Ken & Inge Bennett, nieces: Stacey(Aaron) Wilson, Miheret, Tenaye & Mitike Cridland; nephews Mekonnen Cridland and Jason Westbury. Adele also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, relatives, friends too numerous to mention & co-workers from Valley Ford North Battleford.Adele was born on July 30, 1956 in Kindersley and was raised on the family farm north of Mantario, Sk. Adele attended elementary school in Mantario & was then sent to Eatonia for Grades 6-12 and graduated in 1973. Adele then moved to Saskatoon to continue her education and work. Adele had met Clifford in Grade 6 and they were later married on Adele's 21st Birthday on July 30, 1977 in Eatonia. Adele & Clifford lived/farmed at Eatonia until moving and setting up their farm by Whitkow in 1988/89. Adele & Clifford were blessed with a daughter, Alyssa, in 1990 and she quickly became the focus of their lives. They also had a cabin at Lac des Isles in Meadow Lake Provincial Park and enjoyed many summers there. Their grandson, Cameron, was born on Feb.22, 2012 and he brought great joy to Adele--she lit up when she saw him or told stories about him.Donations in Adele's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Ward at North Battleford Union Hospital or to a Trust Fund for her grandson, Cameron, set up through the Bank of Montreal, North Battleford. Special thanks to Jeannette Swistun and June Pauls & to all her friends who were so supportive, as well as the nurses at Palliative Care, her Dr. and the Cancer Clinic in Saskatoon. ____________________________________________________
