Silver medal for boys soccer

The boys soccer representation from the recently completed Saskatchewan Summer Games held in Meadow Lake. The boys came home with a second place finish.

The team Parkland Valley boys soccer team participated in the Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake August 1st-4th.

Team Parkland Valley went through their pool undefeated. They started the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Team Regina and followed with a 6-0 victory over Team Rivers West.

In their playoff round, Team Parkland Valley defeated Team Prairie Central 2-0. This put them into the gold medal final against Team Saskatoon.

In the gold medal match, Team Saskatoon prevailed with a 1-0 victory. Team Parkland Valley was made up of boys from Good Spirit Acres, Kamsack, Springside & Yorkton. The team was made up of the following athletes: Nathan Cochrane, Nicolas Fetsch, Brady Gelowitz, Dawson Malinowski, Derek Campbell, Matthew Cochrane;  back row, from left:  Michael Dubnyk-Coach, Michaels Dobrowolski,,Jaret Porte, Jordin Rusnack, Matthew Mandziuk, Spencer Steele, Austin Thomas, Zackary Shearer, John Mandziuk, manager.
