SBAI walk planned

Get your boogie on! Join  us on September 8th to show your support for Saskatchewan brain injury survivors and their families. The walk will commence on Saturday, September 15 at 10 a.m. at Gloria Hayden Community Centre. A tasty BBQ lunch and musical entertainment will follow the walk and participants will have a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses.

Help the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association (SBIA) to make positive steps towards preventing brain injuries. Every year, over 2,200 people in Saskatchewan receive a serious brain injury — most of these are young people.

Funds raised at the Brain Boogie... Positive Steps in Motion Walk-a-thon support local and provincial programs for brain injury survivors and their families. Many brain injury survivors are still working towards full recovery, which can sometimes be a lifetime’s goal.

The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association strives to prevent brain injuries and to improve the quality of life for survivors of acquired brain injury and their families. Local chapters provide support and activities on a weekly basis.  Provincially, SBIA hosts three retreats which provide an opportunity for survivors to interact with one another to share experiences and build new relationships.
