Midget hockey

The Yorkton Midget Manos hosted their home eight-team tournament on January 19 and 20. The Manos lost 6-5 to Cupar in the A-final.

Novice hockey

The Yorkton Frame Tech Terriers beat the Yorkton Core Real Estate Terriers 5-3 in the gold championship in Hockey Day in SaltCoats hosted at the Gallagher Centre on Jan. 19 and 20. The Yorkton Thorsness Terriers stomped Keeseekoose 18-1 in the bronze championship.

Peewee hockey

Yorkton peewee Premier Cabinets beat the Regina Sharks 6-2 in the B-side of an Indian Head tournament on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Basketball

The Yorkton Regional High School and Sacred Heart High School host their annual "York City Classic" basketball tournament this upcoming weekend. Twelve teams are taking part in the tourney. The games will be split between the two Yorkton high schools with action starting at 12 p.m. on Friday.
