Yorkton Colony Phase II moves forward

Yorkton Council unanimously passed motions to accept two City Administration recommendations which will move forward the creation of Phase II of the York Colony Subdivision.

The motions allow Administration to proceed with the subdivision application as detailed in the Planning and Development Act.

“The proposed subdivision creates two commercial lots, plus 42 single-family lots and 11 multi-family residential,” detailed material circulated at the regular meeting of Council Monday.

Gord Shaw, Director of of Planning and Engineering with the city explained two recommendations were being put forward because there is already interest in the commercial property.

The subdivision is located east of the SGI property, and north of York Road.
