Bowling

Yorkton is sending 25 bowlers and nine coaches to the youth bowling provincials held in Regina on March 3.

In the competition, the bowlers will be competing for gold medals to advance to the national finals held in Langley, B.C., in late May.

The bowlers taking part in the event are as follows. Boys singles: bantam – Jairus Pellatt, junior – Devon Cross, senior – Ryan Lebo. Senior boys team: Cody Bencze, Jacob Hooge, Serge Yacyshyn, Michael Procyshen and coach Don Haider. Junior boys team: Tyler Rathgeber, Cody Lacelle, Evan Lajambe, Brad Newton, coach Les Lebo. Bantam boys team: Adam Becker, Greg Dobson, Jacob Loewen, Kolton Yanush and coach Sue Lebo. Combo boys team: Bryce Newton, Tanner Washington, Matthew Washington and coach Leona Pinno. Combo girls team: Abbey Somogyi, Christina Curry, Alle Shivak and coach Carrie Somogyi. Bantam girls team: Reanna Prychak, Madison Varga, Kayla Exner, Haley Schrader and coach Jenn Kostiuk.
