New owners for Trex

Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Kevin Doherty recently announced that an agreement in principle has been reached with the Board of Directors of the T.rex Discovery Centre Inc. in Eastend that will see the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) assume the on-going operation of the centre this spring.

“The RSM has had a long involvement with the T.rex Discovery Centre and is well-positioned to operate the facility because of its expertise, not only in palaeontology, but also in exhibits, programming and visitor experience,” Doherty said. “The RSM will operate the facility in alignment with its mandate for palaeontology, heritage and cultural stewardship.”

The Centre will continue to be community-owned and contribute to the economy of Eastend and the surrounding region.
