UPDATE: Yellow Quill murder suspect arrested in Regina

Police in Regina have apprehended Charles Bighead for second degree murder in the shooting death of Dorinda Machiskinic on the Yellow Quill First Nation May 4.

On May 4, 2013 members of the Rose Valley RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious sudden death at the Yellow Quill First Nation. Follow up investigation confirmed 38 year old Dorinda MACHISKINIC of the Yellow Quill First Nation, was the victim of a fatal shooting at a private residence on the reserve. Charles BIGHEAD, also of the Yellow Quill First Nation, was charged with 2nd degree murder in connection with this case, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The suspect was arrested without incident.
