New Horizons Seniors Center, 78 First Ave. North, Yorkton, Sk. Will be hosting a Free Driver Refresher Course. Licence will not be affected. No Exams. The 55 Alive driver course is designed to help Canadians to maintain their independence and their driving privileges. Many interesting topics and rules of the road will be covered. A bright star will be shining on the prairie horizon when the Yorkton Arts Council “Stars For Saskatchewan” presents Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys, Sun., Nov. 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Anne Portnuff Theatre, Yorkton Regional High School. Hailing from PEI, this award-winning group will serve up old-time roots music with an energy level that practically yanks you out of your seat by the collar! A Fall Concert is planned with the Yorkton Community Concert Choir under the direction of Laurene Jemieff and the Yorkton Community Concert Band under the direction of Larry Pearen and Brennan Risling. The Concert will feature a number of soloists with many well know selections written by Canadian Composers including Canadian folk songs, Hockey Night in Canada, Calgary Winter Olympics, to name a few.....something for everyone.
