4-H curling bonspiel a success

On Saturday, January 4 District 12 4-H held their annual curling bonspiel in Yorkton. The event was hosted by the Happy Centre Light Horse 4-H Club. A total of 10 teams, four senior and six junior, participated in the bonspiel.

The clubs that took place are as follows: Yorkton 4-H Light Horse, Springside Beef, Happy Centre Light Horse, Otthon Outlaws and the Rhein 4-H Beef and Activities.

The day started at 8:45a.m. with the pledge followed by the curling draws, concluding with the finals, which ended at 7:30p.m.

The Yorkton 4-H Light Horse Club were the 'A' side winners in the senior division, while the Rhein 4-H Beef and Activities Club took home the 'A' side championship in the junior category. Both teams will now travel to Arcola on Jaunary 25 and 26 to take part in the regional 4-H curling competition.
