Master of Ceremonies, Taylor Morrison, welcomed a good crowd of about 100 to the fun, symbolic Robbie Burns Day. The Selkirk Grace and the Haggis was piped in by Ferne Katzberg and Bearer Jordan Craib-Petkau. Susan Robertson gave a stirring Address to the Haggis.

Post dinner events included the Immortal Memory, a look at Burns' life and legacy — delivered by Neil Caldwell. Jim Morrison gave the Toast to the Lassies — thanking the kitchen staff to which Louse Morrison gave the reply. Strains of "Auld Lang Syne" echoed around the hall to end the formal events of the evening.

Yorkton and District Pipe Band and Highland Dancers entertained with suitable Scottish verve. A dance to the music of Len Gadica followed.
