A note from the Beautification Committee states that the festive season may be over but thanks still go out for the many strings of lights on the large spruce trees near the Century Garden (stone circle). And the Resting Place Garden (by the café). The committee thanks Bob Hume for doing this especially the cold days. The Laketown Hotel also was decorated with many, many loops of lights. The lighted trees as well as other decorated businesses and residences helped brighten up all those cold dark nights. Thanks to all and all the best in 2014.

Active Aging Range of Motion Exercises will have Parkland Valley Sports, recreation and Culture Association representative present on Thurs., Jan. 30 at 9:00 a.m. to register attendees. This project is also sponsored by Sunrise Health Region. The Monday programs begin at 10:00 a.m.

A reminder that for the next short while the Library will NOT be open Wednesdays. The Tuesdays and Thursdays hours are 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. while Librarian recovers health.

Saltcoats United church worship is at 9:00 a.m. The next joint Four Town Pastoral Charge Service is Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. in Langenburg.

Greetings from all the Laketown Leaders to any who are grieving or ill.
