Bull sale

The Eighth annual Blue Collar Bull Sale was held at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton Saturday. The sale included stock from J Square S Angus (Stuart and Kathy Sies) Melville, Northern View Angus, (Alvin and Mariene Frick) Neudorf, and Parkwood Farm (The Burkells) of Yorkton. The sale listed 69 lots on offer to buyers looking to add new Angus genetics to their herds. The high selling bull was ‘J Square S Jag 309A’ for $11800. It sold to Double C Angus. The second highest seller was ‘Northern View Dynamite 5A’ for $7000, while ‘Parkwood Tiger 13A’ sold for $6200. Sale average for bulls was $4127. The high selling heifer was ‘Parkwood Heather Queen 3A’ for $5800, second was ‘J Square S Hi Lite 302A’ for $5100, with ‘Northern View Lucy 94A’ selling for $4600. Heifers in the sale averaged $3080.
