Early St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church

Comments
 - -

Another impressive view of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church under construction, and a very good close-up view of the monastery in 1914. On August 23, 1914, the new church was blessed by Bishop Nicetas Budka. A plaque in the church tells us: Reverend Achille Delaere, CSSR.

Born in Belgium April 17, 1868. Ordained priest October 4, 1896. Arrived in Canada, Sept. 28, 1899. Founder of the Ukrainian Redemptorist Province. And St. Mary's Parish, Yorkton August 7, 1910. Died July 12, 1939 in Yorkton
