Canadian production company plans to take hiatus in 2013

TORONTO - A Canadian theatre producer says he is stepping back and won't be offering a 2013 subscription season.

Aubrey Dan says he doesn't see enough quality shows he would like to bring to Toronto next year.

He says his Dancap Productions will step back after the four Western Canada dates for Jersey Boys in the fall.

In a statement, Dan says he is very proud of what Dancap has accomplished.

He points to the presentation of 25 award-winning Broadway-style productions.

He says when the next great show comes along, there is nothing that will stop Dancap from presenting it.
