Winnipeg livestock market: Cows and bulls trading steady on Friday

WINNIPEG - Slaughter cows are selling is accordance with recent trade volumes, with bulls falling in line as well, although headcount is much lower this week.

Feeder cattle is receiving a boost from local demand and the plainer lighter seem to be on request.

Heavier feeders not trading as fast and steady.

Total head count 460.

Slaughter cattle 130; D1-D2 cows: $73-$80 per cwt; D3-D5 cows: $60-$73; good bulls: $85-$99.50; feeder cows; $78-$88.

Feeder cattle 330; Steers: 800-900 lbs.; $125-$136.75; 700-800 lbs. $130-$148; 600-700 lbs. $145-$163; 500-600 lbs. $150-$166; 400-500 lbs. $150-$173; under 400 lbs. $155-$188.

Heifers: 700-800 lbs. $120-$128 per cwt; 600-700 lbs. $132-$142; 500-600 lbs. $135-$148; 400-500 lbs. $135-$157.
