Winnipeg livestock market: Butcher cows sells steady to $1 lower Friday

WINNIPEG - Butcher cows sold steady to $1 lower while yearlings were steady at the Winnipeg Livestock on Friday.

Total head count 1,125

Slaughter cattle 230: D1-D2 cows: $70-$77 per cwt; D3-D5 cows: $65-$72; good bulls: $82-$90; feeder cows; $75-$85.

Feeder cattle 895: Steers: over 1000 lbs $110-$122 per cwt; 900-1000 lbs. $115-$131.5; 800-900 lbs. $125-$142; 700-800 lbs $130-$144.5; 600-700 lbs $135-$151; 500-600 lbs $140-$162; 400-500 lbs $150-$175, under 400 lbs $155-$182.

Heifers 1,125: 900-1000 lbs. $110-$119; 800-900 lbs. $115-$126; 700-800 lbs. $120-$132; 600-700 lbs. $125-$137; 500-600 lbs $125-$145; 400-500 lbs $130-$152; under 400 lbs $130-$160.
