Body found on East Avenue in Kamsack

Kamsack RCMP responded to a call on Friday, March 12, at approximately 7:10 a.m. from residents on their way to work who noticed a figure that was on the ground and appeared to be not moving.

Kamsack RCMP responded to a call on Friday, March 12, at approximately 7:10 a.m. from residents on their way to work who noticed a figure that was on the ground and appeared to be not moving.

When officers arrived at the scene on East Ave in Kamsack, they found the body of a deceased male, lying face down in the snow, according to an RCMP release. Responding officers secured the scene, called the coroner’s office, as well as the major crimes unit, and took photos.

The victim was identified as a local, 34 year old male. While next of kin has been notified, the name of the victim cannot be released at this time. The body will be transported to Regina for autopsy.
