This year, check over your shopping list and make sure it includes active toys to keep kids moving! To make it easy, the 2014 Saskatchewan in motion Active Toy Guide has arrived with lots of great gift ideas to help kids of all ages burn off steam, fuel an adventurous spirit, and experience the joy of movement.

"Half of Canadian kids get less than 3 hours of active play per week", says Cathie Kryzanowski, General Manager of Saskatchewan in motion. "We hope the Active Toy Guide will give families lots of options to tempt kids away from screens, even if it's only for an hour a day."

To make sure this year's picks will get big smiles on Christmas morning; Saskatchewan in motion recruited some experts when it comes to toys. Eleven kids enjoyed a weekend of running, jumping, scavenger hunting, and playing with some of the new toys in the guide and gave us their best reviews. As well, Tracey Bosche of Zippity Zoom Toys in Regina sent us her round up of this year's most popular active toy options.

The Saskatchewan in motion Active Toy Guide contains great gift ideas, for all ages, price ranges, boys and girls, indoor and outdoor, as well as some the whole family can enjoy! You can view or download a copy at www.saskatchewaninmotion.ca .
