Special Olympics Youth Programs are designed for youth with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. Individuals with an intellectual disability may display deficits in general cognitive abilities which limit performance in one or more aspects of daily life such as communication, social participation, functioning at school, or personal independence. Individuals may be diagnosed with Autism, PDD-NOS, Down Syndrome, FASD, ADD, ADHD, Seizure Disorder, Blind, Deaf, Acquired Brain Injury, or undiagnosed deficits in cognitive functioning or communications. If you are unsure if you are eligible please contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Contact us to register: Caroline at 306-621-7890. St. Mary’s UCWL and St. Gerard’s CWL invites you to 12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative Care on Wed., May 9 from 7:30 a.m. till 7:30 p.m. at St. Gerard’s Church, 125 3rd Avenue North, Yorkton. Be part of the power of prayer during National Hospice Palliative Care Week to pray for patients, caregivers, and all medical staff who compassionately care for those in palliative care. Please join us for our 2018 Walk For Alzheimer’s Thurs., June 7, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Yorkton Regional High School. Presented by Investors Group. The walk is a nice outdoor evening walk fundraiser that the whole family can take part in. Please consider joining us and Make Memories Matter, making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia by your support of our 2018 walk.
