Canada's finest Novice rodeo competitors will be in Yorkton November 7 and 8 for the city's Yorkton New Holland Harvest Rodeo. The rodeo sanctioned by the Canadian Cowboys Association takes place at the 2014 Grain Millers Harvest Showdown November 5-8 2014 at the Gallagher Centre.

"Our contestants look forward to the Yorkton Rodeo each and every year because it's always one of the best of the season," said CCA general manager, Mark Bencze. "The quality and calibre of competition is top notch and the event itself is a celebration of western culture, tradition, and offers something for people of all ages and interests."

Competition is expected to be fierce as the Novice contestants competed all year at CCA rodeo across western Canada. In addition the main rodeo is the first of the 2015 season and contestants travel from all over western Canada to get a head start earning money towards the 2015 standings.

"The season may have just started but qualifying and making every performance count is on everyone's mind."

The CCA Finals Rodeo, held annually during Canadian Western Agribition, Canada's largest livestock and agribusiness show, takes place this year from Nov. 25 - 29.
