Birthday celebration held

Cheryl and Leon Exner of Strathmore, AB were visitors with her mom, Mary Nagy, for a few days. They were coffee visitors with Vivian and Jim Talbot early one morning. They attended the funeral of cousin, Willie Lipinski, while home.

Cheryl and Leon Exner of Strathmore, AB were visitors with her mom, Mary Nagy, for a few days. They were coffee visitors with Vivian and Jim Talbot early one morning. They attended the funeral of cousin, Willie Lipinski, while home. They also brought Aunt Katie Rieger from Regina to have a visit with her sister, Mary Nagy.

Darrell and Margo Tremblay of Maple Ridge, BC were visiting in the area and stopped at Earle and Nina Moller`s. The Tremblays were in Saskatchewan to attend the Hemming family reunion as Darrell's mom was a Hemming.

Sherry and Alain Chatigny motored farther East to visit in Winnipeg with Alain`s son, Christian Chatigny, and his partner, Murielle Croteau, over the weekend. They returned on Tuesday to spend a few days again this week with Sherry's parents before they continue on home to BC.

Family visitors from Edmonton to attend their Aunt Lydia's 105th birthday celebration were her nieces, Joan and Bill Ohe and Audrey Rosvold; great nieces, Paula Rosvold and Shelley Becker; and great-great nieces, Savanah and Sommer Becker. They were all guests of Lydia's nephew, Earle and Nina Moller, and enjoyed a lovely supper together Saturday evening. Joan and Bill were house guests with the Mollers while Shelley and her girls camped out in a tent in the yard. Sunday they all met again to celebrate with Lydia at Mei's Chinese Restaurant in Esterhazy. After a delicious brunch, birthday cake and gifts, everyone attended to Morris Lodge at Bangor where Lydia currently resides to continue their visit. All the nieces returned to Edmonton on Monday after a great family weekend. Lydia was born in Bangor, lived all her adult life in Yorkton, worked for the Hudson's Bay Company for many years and just recently moved to Bangor Lodge to receive a wee bit of help with everyday tasks.

Kassidy Nielsen of North Battleford joined her sister, Terra, and dad, Murray, to visit with her grandparents, Audrey and Peter Nielsen, auntie Tanis (Dave) Edwards and cousins, Del Edwards, Blake and Kyle Nielsen. While they were all here, they attended a cousin's reunion at Sunset Beach Resort, Crooked Lake.

Vivian (Andersen) and Jim Talbot had guests from Red Deer, AB for a couple nights last week. Her sister, Doreen and Bernard Kulcsar, their daughter, Kelleigh Kulcsar and their grandson, Owen, paid them a visit and attended the cousins reunion held at Sunset Beach Resort.

Others home for the get together and potluck supper at Sunset Beach were: Mervin and Dawn Andersen, Hudson and Kareena from Regina; Elsie (Andersen) and Malvin Zimmer and their children, Brennen (Natasha) and Breanna (Ben), all of Regina; Lucille (Andersen) and Larry Stradeski, daughter, Jacklyn and Mike Guidry and their girls, Breelyn and Jaylyn from Grenfell; Christine (Andersen) Topliss, her son, Jared (Heidi) Topliss, Hayden, Nathan and Taylor all of Yorkton and daughter, Charla Topliss from Red Deer, AB; Charles Johnson from Kamsack; Jackie and Jordon Sies of Grayson accompanied her parents, Norman and Debbie Johnson who also brought their new granddaughter, Anna Bodnar of Yorkton, to meet everyone; Darla (Talbot) Bailey and children, Carter, Sarah and Liam from Swift Current; and Dayna (Talbot) and Pat Markwart and daughter, Jayme from Regina who joined Shane and Terra Talbot, Ashalee and Riley who were camping at Sunset Beach.

Many of the Andersens met at Chris' home on Monday to finish up some of the leftovers and visit some more.

Carolyn Moore Thauberger and her granddaughter from Vancouver are currently in the area and staying at their get-away home on Bernier Street.
