Pencil Paparazzi is a captivating collection of black and white portraits drawn from crowds at pow wows, motorcycle rallies, car shows & other gatherings by local artist, Lynn Strendin. Equipped with a skilled hand, discerning eye, plus paper and pencil, Lynn, an avid people-watcher, has captured candid likenesses of some intriguing folks, perhaps some you might even know! Our "portrait gallery" is home to these subjects from now through January. Meet and Greet The Artist on Sun., Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. and share thematic eats and treats. The Yorkton Arts Council brings you the sparkling sounds of the holiday season as they proudly present the next Stars For Saskatchewan concert: Jimmy Rankin, on Wed., Dec. 4, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Anne Portnuff Theatre, Yorkton Regional High School. Jimmy will be sharing seasonal selections from his own Christmas recording "Tinsel Town", along with favorites from his own extensive solo and Rankin Family catalogue. At the Godfrey Dean Gallery: Two Perspectives - Mel Bolen and Karen Holden, until Dec. 15. Mel Bolen is one of Saskatchewan's most accomplished ceramic artists.
