Assault suspect, Adam Paton out on bail

A Yorkton man who police say committed an aggravated assault last May and eluded them for seven months before being arrested in Kelowna, BC two weeks ago is out on bail.

Adam Paton appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court January 14 and was granted release on $500 bail with electronic monitoring.

Paton was picked up by Kelowna RCMP on a warrant January 1 and placed on a six-day remand pending return to Saskatchewan. He was transported back and made his first court appearance January 12. The judge ordered a bail verification report with a focus on electronic monitoring.
