The Yorkton Exhibition Association, together with Yorkton Auction Centre, announces today that nominations are now open for the Farmer Recognition Award.
JeanAnne Teliske, General Manager of the Yorkton Exhibition Association, said the Award, which has been in place for several years, is designed to recognize a farmer/rancher/farm family for his/her/their contribution to the agricultural community. “The Yorkton Exhibition wants to recognize the contributions of the people running successful farms and ranches in east central Saskatchewan who give back to their communities,” she said. “The Yorkton Exhibition Association is grateful to Yorkton Auction Centre for its sponsorship of this important award.”
Nomination forms are available from the office of the Yorkton Exhibition Association or its website www.yorktonexhibition.com and the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce or its website www.yorktonchamber.com The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, September 15. The recipient of the 2017 Farmer Recognition Award will be announced at the Grain Millers Harvest Showdown at the Grain Show Awards Evening Thursday, November 2.
