CP Rail has confirmed there has been a fatality on its tracks in Yorkton.
On September 10, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a freight train struck an individual on the tracks near the Broadway Street crossing. A spokesperson for CP would not give any other details.
There is no indication of what the person was doing on the tracks, but the RCMP said there was no indication of foul play.
The Mounties confirmed the person was a male youth, but would not divulge any further information citing privacy concerns.
