Mrs. Verna Diduck beloved wife of William Diduck of Shellbrook, formerly of Yorkton and the Wroxton district died on June 1, 2014 at Shellbrook, SK. She was eighty-three years of age. Verna Theresa Diduck was born on October 9, 1930 in the Rama district of Saskatchewan a daughter of Anton & Suzanne (nee Fullawka) Novakowski. Verna is lovingly survived by her husband, William Diduck of Shellbrook, SK; her five children and their families, son, Dwayne (Ruth) Diduck of St. Albert, AB, daughter, Joanne (Kevin) Burant of Shellbrook, SK, and their children Jessie Burant, Kyle Burant and Katelynn (Mark) Kelloway; son, Lawrence (Rachel) Diduck of Wroxton, SK, and their children William (Katelyn Chief) Diduck; Matthew (Leanne Oppissinow) Diduck and their son Nicholas; Christopher Diduck; daughter, Margwyn (John) Zacaruk of Calgary, AB, and their children Anna, Adam, Claire and Jake Zacaruk; daughter, Raelene (Walter) Krahn of Chilliwack, B.C. and their children Jonathan, Nicole and Nathan Krahn; four sisters and two brothers, Ann Huziak, Louise Novakowski, Stella (John) Weizer, Chester (Ann) Novakowski, Marion (Vicky) Novakowski and Bonnie Marchinkow as well as numerous nieces and nephews relatives and friends. Verna is predeceased by her parents, Anton & Suzanne (Fullawka) Novakowski; her brothers, Walter and Steve Novakowski; her sisters, Josephine MacEachern, Alena Trach, Isabelle Yerema, and Elizabeth Adamiak. Funeral Services were held on Friday, June 6, 2014 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Pastor Robert Lang of the Kamsack Pentecostal Church officiating. The organist, Amanda Buhler led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art and accompanied Verna's son, Lawrence as he sang 'Where the Roses Never Fade". Daughter, Margwyn Zacaruk shared a tribute and words of remembrance on behalf of the family. Honorary Bearers were everyone who knew and loved Verna, and shared in her life. Interment followed in the Garden of Crucifixion in the Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Dwayne Diduck, Lawrence Diduck, Kevin Burant, John Zacaruk, Walter Krahn and Glenn Erhardt serving as the casket bears.
