Landry Dean Langan

Landry Dean Langan was born on January 23, 1966 in Yorkton, SK, the fifth of eight children born to Philip and Evelyn (nee Paul) Langan. The family moved to Regina, SK in 1969 where Landry resided until August of 1990. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School from Kindergarten to Grade 8. During this time, Landry developed his love of running and all sports. Landry and his brothers, "the Langan boys" always took the school to the championships and won. He went on to attend Miller Comprehensive High School in Regina. During family visits to Yorkton in his early teen years, Landry and Yvonne Pelletier began to take notice of each other and soon the sparks began to fly! Their relationship flourished over time and they began their beautiful family. Landry and Yvonne officially moved in together with their two daughters, 25 years ago this past August 1. Since that time, the two Love Birds added three sons to their nest. Landry had so many interests and he excelled at every one of them . . . except singing! The first thing you think of is Landry's kind heart that was so filled with love, compassion, generosity and laughter. Landry really did offer the shirt right off of his back, not just to family, but to friends and even strangers. He was there offering help and always had everyone's back. Landry never forgot anyone who had ever helped him and he always came through when you needed his help in return.  Sometimes it took years, but Landry always came through. The next thing you think of was Landry's amazing sense of humour. He loved to laugh! It didn't matter what it was or even if he had upset you, that man would make you laugh. He reminded you that laughter was the best medicine . . . and then made some more jokes. Landry loved his wife, Yvonne, all of their children, all of their grandchildren, all of his family and his friends.  Anyone who ever spoke with him knew how much these people meant to him. Landry's eyes would light up and the biggest smile grew across his face and you could see the pride and love he had. Landry also loved dogs . . . even though he was very allergic to dogs, Landry always managed to bring them home as a child. A few of the dogs he loved over the years were, Blackie, Tuffy, King and Casheous. It didn't matter what breed of dog it was, there was a Lab, a German Shepherd (that looked like it was crossed with a wolf!), a Saint Bernard, a Pit Bull and a few others. Landry didn't care, he loved them all. Landry received the nick name of "Arf-Arf Dog" as a child because he would curl up on the floor, right beside the stove, just like a little doggie. Landry was also a scientist who invented many things. He and his younger brother, Phil Jr. had even built a mini-laboratory in the basement of the family home on Rae Street in Regina. Landry went to far as to stock it with test tubes and bunson burners. Everyone knew that Landry had a love of cooking. He made every kind of food taste amazing. He claimed to have invented the original Chicken Caesar Wrap. Whether it was true or not, he sure made those so mouth watering! In school, Landry was exceptional at Math. This skill came in very handy with his work as a Professional Cleaner with Fire Restoration and Window Cleaning. He knew the exact measurements to any chemical mixture or formula. Landry was very creative. This man could do ANYTHING! He painted homes (inside and out), fixed cars, did construction work, cooked, cleaned and could even sew! Landry was so amazingly talented that he mastered any and everything he had decided to do. Landry was predeceased by both Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, Cecile and Pat Langan and Marie and George Paul; his mother, Evelyn (nee Paul) Langan; his son, Landon Pelletier; his grandson, Maddox Quewezance; his brother, Earl Langan, Sr. and numerous other family and friends.
