Wilfred Pachal of the Yorkton District Nursing Home, formerly of Dauphin, MB, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Wilfred was born in Windthorst, SK. To Carl & Elsa (nee Ratke) Pachal June 12, 1936.

Wilfred Pachal of the Yorkton District Nursing Home, formerly of Dauphin, MB, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Wilfred was born in Windthorst, SK. To Carl & Elsa (nee Ratke)  Pachal June 12, 1936. Wilfred was raised on the family farm (Taylor's farm) better known to Dad as Scandinavian country. Even though Dad never had a higher education he was self taught in many ways, which lead to many adventures. In 1959 Dad ended up in Erickson, MB, where he met his love of his life Doris Bone, they were blessed with 10 children. Due to Dad's love of nature he uprooted his family and moved to the Shortdale - Duck Mountain area. In June of 1973, Doris and Wilfred united in marriage. Wilfred loved many outdoor activities such as digging for Seneca root, fishing, hunting and gardening. Due to Dad being self employed he became known as a man of all trades. Allowing him to have various opportunities such as landscaping, farming, truck driving, working in bush camps, as well as working with Manitoba Hydro and Department of Highways. Dad also enjoyed spending time with his children; Lucille Demeria (John), Stan Bone (Paulette), Corrie Ironstand (Curtis), Leonard Pachal (Ellen), Wilfred "Mike" Pachal (Wanda), Fred Pachal (Georgina), Susan Ironstand (Barry), Marlon Pachal (Julie), Martin Pachal (Brandy), Diane MacDonald (Lyle); his 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Wilfred was predeceased by his wife, Doris; parents, Carl & Elsa; and his brother, Norman. He also leaves to mourn his passing; brothers, Albert and Carl; sisters, Irma, Marge, Eva; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many friends & relatives. A Celebration of Life was held on the evening of Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home Yorkton Saskatchewan  officiated by Crystal Bailey B.Th, Certified Celebrant. Reflections of Wilfred's life were given by granddaughters, Hillary Pachal & Crystal Ironstand. The musical selections played were: "Green, Green Grass of Home" ( Elvis Presley), "Amazing Grace" ( Alan Jackson) & "Go Rest High"( Vince Gill). The interment took place on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Keesee Cemetery at Elphinstone, MB with Marlon Pachal, Leonard Pachal, Stan Bone, Wilfred (Mike) Pachal, Martin Pachal & Fred Pachal serving as casketbearers.
