William "Bill" Peshko, son of Michael and Elline (nee Olynuik) Peshko, was born on the family farm in the R.M. of Hazel Dell on August 29, 1935. He attended Silver Springs and Invermay Schools.

William "Bill" Peshko, son of Michael and Elline (nee Olynuik) Peshko, was born on the family farm in the R.M. of Hazel Dell on August 29, 1935. He attended Silver Springs and Invermay Schools. As a young man, he and his brother operated B & E Café in Invermay from 1952 to 1956. After working for a few years in the construction field, he began farming in 1959.Bill married Ethelda Foster of Moose Jaw, SK. on October 12, 1963 and they enjoyed life on the farm until 2005 when his health failed following heart surgery. They moved to Yorkton in 2006 and Bill was able (with Ethelda's assistance) to remain in his own home until January 20, 2012 when he was admitted to the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed going "up north" to hunt for moose for many years. He was involved with the Invermay Agricultural Society and the Invermay Fish and Game League. Bill enjoyed raising horses which evolved into a hobby for him and his two remaining miniature horses were greatly loved. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Elline; his brother, Edward and his sister, Shirley. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his wife, Ethelda; his sons, Allan of Invermay, SK and Lawrence of Yorkton, SK; one sister, Pauline of Sidney, BC; brother-in-law, Victor Pilkey of Yorkton, SK; sister-in-law, Patricia Peshko of Regina, SK as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK. with Father Peter Pidskalny, C.Ss.R. of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church officiating. The responses were led by the Cantor, Mr. Ed Pindus. The urn bearer was Victor Pilkey. In accordance with Bill's wishes a private cremation committal will take place in the R.M. of Hazel Dell at a later date. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting
