Dr. Rogoza retires from local practice

Dear Editor: It has often been said that “time flies” ...especially as we mature. This is certainly the case, as my wife Gail and I reflect on our time spent in providing Optometric Care in Yorkton and Melville for 42 years.

Dear Editor:

It has often been said that “time flies” ...especially as we mature. This is certainly the case, as my wife Gail and I reflect on our time spent in providing Optometric Care in Yorkton and Melville for 42 years. We are so fortunate in having returned to Saskatchewan after meeting at the University of Waterloo, Ont. My wife’s roots were in Ontario, while my roots began on a farm near Wroxton, Saskatchewan. After I completed High School in Yorkton and an Optometry degree at Waterloo, we spent a year in Winnipeg only to return to Yorkton in 1975.

I thank Gail for working with me for 38 years. I also thank my varied staff who have worked with me both in Yorkton and Melville.

Thank you to both our children... Damien and Bree for sharing many experiences with us over the years locally and in travel.

I especially want to thank all of our patients for their unwavering support over the 42 years. We also have been blessed to have many of our patients become our friends.

When our daughter Bree graduated from Optometry and decided to to return to Yorkton... (with some parental persuasion), we were ecstatic when she decided to stay and take over the practice.

I guess what I am saying is that... I Have Retired... an enormous decision considering I loved my work.

Dr. Bree, our incoming locums and staff in Yorkton and Melville will continue to do their best to provide you with high quality Optometric Care.

Rest assured.  We will continue to meet many of you whom we will always cherish.

Please let us say once again... Thank you for being part of our lives.

Ron and Gail Rogoza

Yorkton, SK
