The moon, rising over the eastern edge of Yorkton, reached its closest point to the Earth in 2014 on August 10. In recent years this has become known as a Super Moon. On Sunday night the moon was 356,896 kilometres from the planet compared to 406,567 kilometres at its furthest, which occurred two weeks earlier on July 28.Staff Photo by Thom Barker
