The 10th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale was held at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton Saturday. The sale featured cattle from J Square S Angus at Melville, Northern View Angus of Neudorf, Parkwood Farm at Yorkton and Swan Hill Ranch at Swan River, MB.

The 10th Annual Blue Collar Bull Sale was held at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton Saturday. The sale featured cattle from J Square S Angus at Melville, Northern View Angus of Neudorf, Parkwood Farm at Yorkton and Swan Hill Ranch at Swan River, MB. By sales end 54 bulls would gross $282,800 for an average of $5,237. The high-selling bull was Northern View Bull’s Eye sired by BPF Special Focus 504 and purchased by CorVet Cattle Co. Melita, Manitoba for $13,100. Northern View Grand Slam 80C sired by Vision’s Unanimous was purchased by Bell Angus, Pense, SK. for $10,750. Twelve Angus heifers grossed $33,300 and averaged $2,775. The sale also included 39 Angus influence females, including those in the photograph. All the animals went under the gavel of auctioneer Clayton Hawryluk.
