Manitoba Ag Days launches new 'Innovations Showcase'

David Laudin, Co-chairmen for Manitoba Ag Days in Brandon has announced they are making some changes for the 2020 show to better promote and enhance our industry.

David Laudin, Co-chairmen for Manitoba Ag Days in Brandon has announced they are making some changes for the 2020 show to better promote and enhance our industry.

“We want to give all of our exhibitors’ equal opportunity to highlight their innovations and technology enhancements at our show,” said Laudin. “The Inventors’ Showcase has been a long standing feature of our show but we felt it limited our existing exhibitors to launch products at our show.

“So, to level the playing field we decided to eliminate the Inventors’ Showcase, New Products Feature and Farm Safety Feature categories at our show and rebrand this the Innovation Showcase.”

Current, existing and new exhibitors will each have the opportunity to apply to enter the Innovation Showcase if they so choose and now they can pick one of seven categories to enter.

“Innovation and Technology is at the forefront in everything that we do now a days and the Ag Industry is not legging behind.  Our theme for the 2020 show is Technology and Innovation in Agriculture.  We want to help launch your vision so our hashtag for this years’ show is #2020vision,” said Brad Crammond, Co-chairmen for Manitoba Ag Days in the release.

As noted, there will be seven categories in the Innovation Showcase with the goal of ‘Advancing the Field’.  Manitoba Ag Days will be awarding prize money to first and second place in each category and Glacier FarmMedia will be rewarding an advertising packages to the first and second place winner in each category. *
