The Canadian Federation of University Women is an national and international organization of university women graduates that aims to improve the status of women and girls through eduation and life-long learning. Women who support the mandate of the organization can join. The Yorkton Club invites women who are interested in learning more about the club  to join us at a Breakfast Brunch on Sat., Sept. 24, 2016 at 9:30 at the Godfrey Dean Gallery. The first fall meeting of the Yorkton and District Horticultural Society will be on Wed., Sept. 21 at 7:00 p.m. at SIGN on North Street. The York Colony Quilters Guild is offering a series of Beginner Quilting Classes. Classes will be held in late Sept. Cost is $50 for three evening classes. This is a chance to jump start learning basic quilting with a knowledgeable instructor in a relaxed environment.
